Dark is the void of death and that which is beyond. it looms over all though they refuse to see. They are living in a fantasy of grandeur. They will not be able to stand the void when they see it.

This life I lead is a vacant time. There is little worth remembering. All i have is thirst and power. Pitiful humans strive their entire lives for things that hold no comfort once they have passed into the abyss. They are ignorant of the true joys in life. I must admit that I was the same way. Now I suffer for my folly in this half-life full of emptiness.

Yes, but all of the other vampires who lived back then were killed in the great plague. People thought it was vampires spreading the Black Death and hunted us almost to extinction. Only Lilith and her family were able to escape.

China did not suffer economically but the peasants were also affected. And you cannot be from a different line than Lilith. She has always been VERY careful to keep control of every vampire. If you were from a different line she would have had you killed because she could not control you.
